Take an interactive tour of Dante’s vision of Hell. This page is an illustrated companion to the poetic masterpiece including artwork by Doré, notes from the Ciardi translation, insights to characters and events, and basic maps to each circle. I designed this also in Flash and hope that it can be used as an aid for teachers who use The Inferno in their classes; actually, I have had quite a few requests for just that. (Note: there is no circle for misspellers, forgive the errors.)
This is one of the best Dante resources I have ever found. The kids love it because it makes the story easy to understand. They can organize their thoughts and ideas better. Job well done! Thanks for providing such a great resource!
Is there any way you can post this virtual tour (which my colleagues and I have been using for a few years now) to a non-blog web host? Our students were able to access it at school when it was posted on a university website, but they cannot access blog pages through our filter. We love your design and the information you’ve included and want to keep using it for years to come!
